Cibelli’s NY Pizza – Our Story
Frank Cibelli was born and raised in New York City. Growing up in New York there was nothing Frank enjoyed more than a fresh, hot slice of pizza! After moving to Oregon, he soon realized that his options in acquiring a fine slice of pizza pie were quite limited. Being the ever passionate entrepreneur, he decided to open his own pizza restaurant and serve the best pizza possible. In addition to bringing back the lost art of tossing and spinning pizza dough, he focused all his attention and efforts on exceptional customer service and serving only the finest and freshest pizza ingredients he could get his hands on. The rest is history, after being open less than a year, the fame and demand for his delicious gourmet pizza was so great that Frank immediately opened up a second location and things just grew from there! Frank has always said, “Take care of the people, and the people will take care of you.”
Shortly after opening, Frank hired a young pizza chef named Brett Bateman who worked at the original location in Tumalo, OR. Brett and Frank hit it off and became great friends. The two worked closely together for many years developing the recipes and succesful culture the business has today. Recognizing Brett’s ambition and passion for the pizza business, in 2006 Frank handed over the reigns and gave Brett the responsibility of running the business. Over the last ten years Brett and his two brothers (Blaine and Christopher) have formed a tight team of managers and employees that all share the common goal of making every customer extremely happy when they walk in the door. Cibelli’s lives by the motto, “Happiness Guaranteed.” Just making customers “satisfied” isn’t good enough! The simple core values Frank and Brett established years ago live on at Cibelli’s. Serve great food, provide excellent service, and make people happy!
